Engage Other Partners in Advocacy
HOW TO
If you have been denied access to a behavioral health facility due to your bleeding disorder, you may be wondering how to proceed. The following resources will help you identify partner advocates who can help advocate for access to behavioral health facilities on your behalf. This may include educating facility staff, clarifying facility obligations, policies, and procedures, appealing decisions, and submitting complaints. The BD SUMHAC recommends these actions be taken as soon as possible to increase your chances of receiving care.
