Emily Wheat, PhD

Bio

Emily Wheat is a clinical psychologist at the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. In these roles she is responsible for providing clinical excellence and strategic leadership in behavioral health and psychosocial care for youth and adults with hemostatic and thrombotic concerns. She serves as a member on the MASAC Pain Task Force, has created behavioral health educational material and workshops for the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation, and engages in research around the interplay between psychological, social, and medical factors in health-related quality of life and overall wellness for youth with bleeding disorder diagnoses. Outside of her professional pursuits, you can often find Emily biking with her family, completing projects on her 100-year old home, or looking for the perfect cup of coffee.
