Our BD SUMHAC NC team is looking forward to meeting with the Caiyalynn Burrell Child Crisis Center, a behavioral health facility-based crisis service for children and adolescents in Asheville, NC. In this meeting, we will provide a brief overview of bleeding disorders and share practical strategies for managing a patient’s care during an inpatient treatment stay.

Our BD SUMHAC NC team is looking forward to meeting with UNC Health Pardee, a behavioral health facility currently developing a new inpatient adolescent behavioral health center in Hendersonville, NC. Our BD SUMHAC PA team is looking forward to meeting with the Westmoreland Drug and Alcohol Commission Inc., the Single Care Authority (SCA) responsible for funding and overseeing substance use and addiction treatment services across Westmoreland county. In this meeting, we will provide a brief overview of bleeding disorders and share practical strategies for managing a patient’s care during a residential/inpatient treatment stay.

We will be meeting with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Care and Treatment Services to discuss the access barriers people with bleeding disorders are facing to substance use treatment facilities in WI. This meeting will be a follow up to better understand the state regulations that govern inpatient/residential mental health and substance use disorder facilities.

We will be meeting with the California Department of Health Care Services, Medi-Cal Behavioral Health – Policy Division to better understand the policies of Medicaid managed care behavioral health programs. We're particularly interested in policies related to the administration of IV/infusion medications while in treatment, as well as the payment mechanisms for these medications.
